1. Information We Collect

To connect athletes with teams, we collect the following categories of information:

Name, email address, and password (stored in encrypted form). Parent or guardian names for minor accounts.

Graduation year, sport(s), position(s) played, jersey size, and athletic history submitted voluntarily by users.

Links to external video platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Instagram, OneDrive, Dropbox) shared for scouting purposes. We do not host video content directly.

We may collect your approximate location to surface nearby tournaments and athletes. Location is only used within the App and is never sold. You may disable location access through your device settings at any time.

Records of messages exchanged between athletes and coaches within the App's in-app messaging feature.

Device type, operating system version, and push notification tokens used solely to deliver in-app notifications.

2. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

GuestPlayer serves athletes of all ages, including minors. Beach SQL, LLC takes children's privacy seriously and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information without consent, we will delete it promptly upon becoming aware.

Accounts for athletes who are minors must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of that minor and consent to the collection and use of the minor's information as described in this policy.

Parents or legal guardians have the right to review, correct, or request deletion of their child's personal data at any time by contacting us at kyle@beachsql.com.

3. How We Use Your Information

Beach SQL, LLC uses the collected data to:

• Facilitate connections between athletes and teams seeking tournament guest players
• Display athlete profiles and tournament openings to relevant users
• Send notifications regarding messages, roster invites, and App updates
• Improve App functionality and provide customer support
• Verify eligibility for specific age-restricted tournament brackets
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service and End User License Agreement
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse

We do not use your data for targeted advertising. We do not build advertising profiles from your usage.

4. How Your Information is Shared

Athlete profiles (name, sport, position, graduation year, and video links) are visible to registered coaches and teams within the App. Coach profiles and tournament openings are visible to registered athletes.

We share data with trusted third-party vendors (e.g., cloud hosting, push notification services, database services) solely to operate and improve the App. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.

Beach SQL, LLC may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Beach SQL, LLC, our users, or the public.

In the event Beach SQL, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in advance.

Beach SQL, LLC does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers or data brokers. Ever.

5. Data Retention & Security

Beach SQL, LLC retains your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at kyle@beachsql.com.

We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption in transit and encrypted storage at rest to protect your data. Passwords are stored using one-way hashing and are never stored in plain text.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. Beach SQL, LLC cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the App at your own risk. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Update or correct inaccurate information in your profile through the App or by contacting us
• Deletion — Request that we delete your account and all associated personal data, subject to any legal obligations requiring retention
• Portability — Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Opt-Out of Notifications — Disable push notifications through your device settings or within the App at any time
• Location Opt-Out — Disable location tracking through your device settings, though this may limit certain App features

7. Third-Party Links and Services

The App allows users to share or link to external video platforms, including YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Instagram, OneDrive, and Dropbox. Beach SQL, LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party services.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external platform before sharing content on it. By linking your external video content within GuestPlayer, you represent that you have the right to share that content and that it complies with our Terms of Service.

We also use Expo's push notification infrastructure to deliver notifications. Expo may process push tokens on our behalf. Expo's privacy policy is available at expo.dev.

8. Disclaimer of Liability

Beach SQL, LLC provides the App on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Beach SQL, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account
• Disruption or unavailability of App services
• Actions or conduct of other users within the App
• Inaccurate or misleading information posted by other users
• Any outcomes related to tournament participation arranged through the App

Beach SQL, LLC is a platform that facilitates connections between athletes and coaches. We are not responsible for the actions, representations, or conduct of any user, team, coach, or tournament organizer using the App.

9. Indemnification

By using the App, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Beach SQL, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and successors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of or access to the App
• Your violation of this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
• Any content you submit, post, or transmit through the App
• Any misrepresentation you make in connection with your use of the App

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under this policy shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Virginia Beach, Virginia. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Beach SQL, LLC.

11. Changes to This Policy

Beach SQL, LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy in the App and on this page, and by updating the "Last Updated" date above.

Your continued use of the App after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
